Every one of us knows someone who could use a helping hand. And one thing's for sure about our community: Where there's a need, neighbors stand ready to pitch in.
Project Share is a great example. The program provides a one-time emergency energy assistance grant to households in our region. The grants go to folks like seniors with low incomes, families strapped by unexpected emergencies or people who simply need to get back on their feet again.
Helping families keep warm is Project Share's only goal, so recipients can heat their homes with any type of fuel — including natural gas, electricity, propane, wood and coal — and they don't have to be Avista customers.
You can join other Project Share contributors by adding a donation to your monthly energy bill. We'll send the full amount directly to the community action agencies that distribute the funds to our community's most vulnerable members.
If you wish to contribute the same amount every month, the Project Share Pledge is the way to go. As a reminder, we'll include your pledge on your monthly Avista statement.
Or you can make a one-time Project Share donation when you pay your bill — or any other time throughout the year. Give as many times as you like; you choose when and how much.
Here's another option: Purchase Project Share items from Simply Northwest, and 15 percent of the sale will go directly toward Project Share.
