Purpose | |
| On December 29, 2006 FERC issued their Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Spokane River and Post Falls Hydroelectric Projects. A sixty-day comment period followed the issuance and ends on March 6, 2007. Before the Commission makes a licensing decision, it will take into account all concerns relevant to the public interest. The DEIS and the comments received will be part of a record from which the Commission will make its decision. A final EIS will be issued sometime in August 2007, after the mandatory conditioning authorities issue their final terms and conditions. Once FERC posts the comments they have received, we will post them below. |
