Falls Park
Adjacent to Avista's North Channel Dam, this 19-acre park is located in the heart of Post Falls. The park features paved hiking trails, fishing pond, universally accessible playground equipment such as swings, sandboxes and monkey bars. The park also has 11 interpretive signs that provide visitors with historical, geological and biological information about the area. Take in the spectacular view of the river and Avista’s North Channel Dam. Picnicking areas are provided.
Q’emiln Riverside Park & Trails
Q’emiln, which means "throat of the river", began as a Coeur d’Alene Indian Village, but later became part of property belonging to the town’s founder, Frederick Post. The park offers 90 acres of recreational land, with five miles of hiking trails. It is also a popular site for swimming and picnicking.
Plante’s Ferry Park
An interpretive sign in the park marks the place where the first known ferry crossings on the Spokane River were made between 1851 and 1864. Historians believe this river crossing made it possible for settlers to trade goods on a regular basis, enabling them to build strong commerce.
