Connecting Rural Areas with the World

When community members partner together for a good cause, great things happen.  In 2010 Avista partnered with other members of the North Central Idaho Telecommunication Consortium to help leverage funds for a project that will enhance and expand broadband connectivity for five rural counties in North Central Idaho.  Healthcare facilities, emergency response agencies, libraries, schools, government offices, and institutions serving the Nez Perce Tribe will benefit from the information superhighway thanks in large part to community partnerships and collaboration. Avista is committed to building close relationships with our communities and aspires to raise the quality of life wherever we conduct business. Participating in a project that boosts economic growth, creates jobs, and improves education and healthcare is a rewarding venture.  The collective voice is a powerful and inspiring tool.
