Avista Cares – 2010 Philanthropy Report

For more than 120 years, Avista has been an active partner in the communities we serve – as a utility that provides energy services and as the people who live, play and work just down the street. We believe that attaining our business goals and bringing value to our customers go hand-in-hand. Avista community investments are made through corporate and foundation giving and are not included in customer rates. Community investments are also made through the time, talent and treasure that our employees put into the organizations in the towns they call home. Contributions to non-profit organizations are working to make a difference in the lives of the children, individuals and families throughout our service territory – eastern Washington, northern Idaho, southern and eastern Oregon, and Sanders County, Montana.

In 2010, Avista gave more than $2.2 million through corporate donations and grants from the Avista Foundation.

The chart below shows you where our donations went in 2010. Mouse over each section and click to read more about representative grants and a featured grant program.
