Because natural gas water heaters recover their hot water faster than electric, you may be able to downsize to a smaller gas water heater and still get the same amount of hot water as you did with your electric. Because your installation costs will be higher for a natural gas water heater than an electric replacement, we offer $150 toward the replacement of your old 80 gallon or smaller electric water heater for a new high efficiency gas unit.
