An in-home energy audit is a physical inspection of the home and its major appliances plus a series of diagnostic tests which help uncover opportunities to save energy. A comprehensive report which the customer receives within a few weeks of the audit will help the resident develop a cost effective plan to improve the energy efficiency of their home.
This two year pilot program is designed for single family, manufactured or mobile homes and semi-detached duplex residents located in the boundaries of Spokane County.
The value of a typical, comprehensive home energy audit is approximately $400. Thanks to a combination of Avista energy efficiency funds and federal stimulus dollars, the cost of the audits will be significantly reduced.
